Tayler Marie
I am a vibrant, fun-loving, and creative young professional with a passion for people, a love for community, and a heart for leadership.

I have an affinity for classic American Literature and motivational "self-help" reads, an overwhelming attraction to both travel and adventure and a love for exploring new cultures and destinations.
I am a dog-mom to a Boston-Terrier/Boxer/Who-knows-what-else four year old rescue pup, a California born and raised, Tenessee transplant, a newly-initiated gym-junky and health and wellness fanatic, a wine enthusiast and a coffee buff.

After graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Media Business and Corporate Communication from Baylor University in spring 2018, I took a full-time position as a Market Analyst for a large corporation in Dallas, Texas.
While I was officially at the start of my career, I already had extensive professional experience dating back to my childhood years. As a kid, I would beg my dad to let me answer phones for his company and even insisted on starting my own babysitting company cleverly titled "Tayler for Tots". I had a knack for customer service as well as natural entrepreneurial tendencies and seemed to develop a business-oriented mentality very early on in my life.
When I was just 14 years old and a freshman in high school, I silently reached out to the head of the Music Therapy Department of Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, California and asked if she would be willing to let me plan a fundraiser event for the program.
After 6 months of preparation, developing partnerships with vendors, sponsors, donors, businesses, and youth performers, I was able to produce a benefit event called "Concerts for Cures" that featured performances by former American Idol contestants, Disney Channel actors, and young entertainment, as well as other highlights such as a classic car show, a silent-auction and media coverage. I was not only able to donate more than 5 instruments, but also contributed over $4,000 to the therapy program all under 3 hours.

What started off as just a single portable music cart, now functions as a full sector of the hospital with multiple carts and a studio space for pediatric patients to find treatment and comfort in learning to play instruments and listening to their favorite tunes.
This event altered my life-perspective and inspired me to work even harder in future endeavors.

Less than two years later I became involved in a local community health and wellness initiative headed by an organization called the Blue Zones Project. I developed relationships with team members and other volunteers and became the first youth to be heavily involved in the organization.

I was the Founder and President of the first Blue Zones Project club in the nation and was later recognized by Blue Zones Project Founder and National Geographic Researcher and Explorer, Dan Buettner, at a conference he hosted the following year. I was later awarded by the Blue Zones Project, Beach Cities team for being both a 'Young Entrepreneur' and an 'Outstanding Volunteer'.
After graduating high school I decided to trade in the sand and the sea of the Southern California coast for cowboy boots and country music in the great state of Texas. Yeehaw!
, In spring of 2016, I joined Zeta Tau Alpha, where I immediately took on the role as Assistant Historian- Reporter for our collegiate chapter. I was eager to become involved in something much greater than myself, serving the community I lived in with women who challenged me to be better every day.
I then served as the Historian-Reporter on the executive council the following year where I not only managed all marketing content and development, but also worked with other collegiate members, national officers, and corporate mentors on various projects. During my time on the executive board, I developed strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and conflict resolution methods.

In February of 2019, I moved my life to Nashville, Tennessee where I am now focusing on finding new opportunities more compatible with my long-term goals. I currently work in property management as a Leasing and Marketing Specialist for the multi-family housing industry, which gives me the opportunity to work with people, build relationships, and network. However, I know that I am capable of growth beyond my current role and I hope to continue to build my skill set, my knowledge and my experience.
And that brings me here.
As I continue to grow in my professional career, I hope to gain insight from like-minded business men and women.
I hope to expand my knowledge and expertise across various industries and stay up-to-date with influential and innovative movements, trends, and strategies.
Most importantly, I hope to find joy and passion in the work that I do and to strive to inspire others to do the same.
